AUGUSTE ESCOFFIER CROWN SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION: THE SPOOKTACULAR HALLOWEEN DISH-OFF (CULINARY)

Criteria: 

                

This contest is open to high school students graduating in 2024 or 2025 (seniors or juniors) who are interested in attending Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts (Residential or Distance Learning Programs). Students must enroll and start by October 2024 if they are a 2024 high school graduate or by October 2025 if they are a 2025 high school graduate.

The contestant must be a minimum of 16 years of age and have proof of high school graduation before enrolling at Escoffier.

HEB  SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE EXCELLENCE 

Criteria: 

  • Minimum 3.3 GPA
  • Number of Community Service Hours completed in the last 12 months
  • Community Service Verification Letters to document the number of hours submitted
  • A Letter of Recommendation
  • A Short Essay (500 words or less) on the topic: “What does Community mean to you?”

There will be 15 total winners – five each in music, academics and athletics – and each will be awarded $2,000 from H-E-B. An announcement of the winners will be made during the 2024 UIL Texas Girls & Boys Basketball State Championships.

2024 Scholarship for Young Women in Public Affairs 

Criteria: 

  • Girls ages 16 to 19 are eligible to apply.
  • The $1000 Club Award recognizes young women, ages

    16-19, who demonstrate superior leadership skills and a commitment to public service and civic causes, and encourages them to continue their participation in public and political life. Ten (10) international scholarships of US$5,000 each and up to 32 district/region scholarships of US$1,000 each are awarded each year. Since the program's inception, Zonta has given 1054 awards (includes international awards), totaling $1,393,500, to over 882 young women representing 60 countries. These awards are made possible through generous donations to the Zonta International Foundation and the local chapters.

 Hagan Scholarship Foundation

Criteria: 

  • 1. Must be a U.S. Citizen or have a Permanent Resident Card (Green Card).
    2. Must attend a high school located in the United States. Can be a public, private, charter, magnet, or STEM school.
    3. Must be in the high school graduating class.
    4. Must have achieved a 3.50 Cumulative Grade Point Average.
    5. Must enroll in an eligible four-year not-for-profit College or University the first semester following high school graduation.
    6. Must maintain a four year or less graduation schedule in college, or complete the equivalent of a four year degree if in a professional program.
    7. Recipients must work 240 hours from January 1, 2024 until commencement of the 2024 fall semester in college. Work can be performed at recipient discretion. Employment must be regularly scheduled work performed under supervision for compensation. Work can be full-time during the summer and/or part-time work.
    8. Applicant’s Adjusted Gross Household Income reported for 2022 Federal Income Tax Purposes must not have exceeded $100,000. “Household Income” is defined as the total income received by all members of a household living under the same roof.

  • The intended recipient is a high-achieving goal-driven student having substantial financial need.

Texas Telephone Association Foundation Scholarship (TTAF)

Criteria: 

♦ U.S. Citizen;

♦ Student graduating from a Texas high school no later than June 2024 from a school within a TTA member company’s service area.

♦ Student achieving a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher (out of a possible 4.0);

♦ Student planning to attend a Texas college or university by the Fall of 2024

♦ A completed application postmarked no later than March 31, 2024, including a current transcript

♦ A letter of acceptance from a Texas college or university where student has been accepted.

♦ Student typed essay, consisting of between 300 - 1,000 words explaining their qualifications for the scholarship, their future goals, and how the scholarship will assist them in achieving those goals.

♦ Copy of student’s SAR (Student Aid Report).

*Please note--special consideration will be given to students who will be pursuing a college degree in fields of study which are of particular interest to telecommunications (such as math, business, education, technology, engineering, and computer science, etc.). 2024 Zonta Club of Fredericksburg Scholarship Application For Graduating Senior Girls 

The Zonta Club of Fredericksburg Scholarship Program was established to assist and encourage women of all ages to further their career goals.  The Zonta Club of Fredericksburg is part of a worldwide service organization of executive and professional women working together to advance the status of women.  Scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $1,000

Criteria: 

  • Applicant must be a resident of Gillespie County or of an adjoining county:  Blanco, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Llano, or Mason.​

  • Applicant must be a high-school senior or older who will be attending an accredited post-high-school educational institution (i.e. college, university, trade school, etc.)

  • Scholarships are based in part on financial need.

  • Grade point average will be considered.​

  • Consideration is given to whether the overall circumstances and plans of an applicant make achievement of her goals realistic.

Criteria: 

  • tudent must submit proof of High School Graduation or GED equivalent and entering a University or Collage in the fall of 2023

Criteria: 

  • Must be a senior high school student.
  • You must be majoring in a field to become a First Responder,  ie:  Police, Fire or EMS.

Blanco County Texas Farm Bureau Scholarship

Criteria: 

  •  Applicant’s parents or guardian MUST have been a member of the Blanco County Farm Bureau for at least a year at the time of this application.

Greater ACEA Scholarship Program:

Criteria: 

• Must be a high school senior in the current school year at the time of application

. • Must be entering the construction or civil-engineering related field of study in an accredited college, university or vocational school

. • Must reside in Bastrop, Bell, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Hays, Lee, Milam, Travis, or Williamson County during their senior year of high school.

• Proof of enrollment is required (class schedule with student ID number)

• Applicant MUST desire a career in the construction or civil-engineering related industry

• Applicant MUST be a full-time student

• Applicant MUST be enrolled or intend to enroll in either an ABET or an ACCE accredited (or candidate status) program

• Applicant MUST pursue a two-or-four-year degree/certificate in construction or construction-related field

• Applicant MUST be a U.S. citizen or documented permanent resident of the United States (i.e. must possess a “permanent resident” card).

• Children of ACEA members will be given preference in the selection process.

• To be considered for renewal annual award installments, the scholarship recipient is required to provide indications of continued enrollment and good standing (min. 3.0 GPA). Grade transcripts and upcoming class schedules MUST be forwarded by July 30. Recipients will not be reminded to provide this information; failure to do so will result in non-renewal of scholarship award installments.

Exotic Wildlife Association Scholarship

Criteria: 

  1. The student does not have the means to attend college without financial assistance.
  2. The student must have been accepted in a Texas State College, University or Vocational Institution.
  3. Student must complete the Scholarship Application with brief resume attached including work history.
  4. Attach recent Income Tax Returns, W-2’s or 1099’s for student, mother and father where applicable.
  5. Student is required to submit an application and a 250 to 500 word typed essay entitled “Why I Need & Deserve This Scholarship” to the EWA Scholarship Committee.
  6. A Principal’s letter and four letters of recommendation must be obtained from relationships other than family members
  7. Attach a State of Texas Academic Achievement Report
  8. Based on the essays and qualifications students will be selected for interviews.  Interview dates and times will be sent to the counselors.
  9. A member or members of the EWA Scholarship Committee will interview candidates and make final selections.
  10. Scholarship recipients will be announced at graduation ceremonies if possible.
  11. A Thank You Note is required after scholarship is awarded. All notes should be sent to the EWA Board of Directors c/o the EWA Scholarship Committee, 231 Thompson Drive, Kerrville, TX 78028.
  12. Student must start school no later than the fall semester after being awarded the scholarship.
  13. Student must agree to be bound by these Guidelines and to meet all reporting requirements.

Criteria: 

  1. The student does not have the means to attend college without financial assistance.
  2. The student must have been accepted in a Texas State College or University with a major in Agriculture.
  3. Student must complete the Scholarship Application with brief resume attached including work history.
  4. Attach recent Income Tax Returns, W-2’s or 1099’s for student, mother and father where applicable.
  5. Student is required to submit an application and a 250 to 500 word typed essay entitled “Why I Need & Deserve This Scholarship” to the EWA Scholarship Committee.

Criteria: 

  • Must be pursuing a degree in: Earth or Plant Science, or an Agricultural Field.
  • Show proof of acceptance to courses in Earth Sciences, Plant Science Studies, or the Agriculture Field.
  • Be a graduating senior of an accredited school/program in Blanco County.
  • Be a Texas Resident, residing in Blanco County

Criteria: 

  • Must be enrolled in and graduate from a high school in Blanco, Gillespie, Kimble, or Mason County.
  • Must be wanting to pursue becoming a Realtor, Appraiser, Inspector, Surveyor, or Lender.

Coni Ross Scholarship

Information:  

"The Coni Ross Scholarship" which is named for one of our Past Presidents.   Her family has donated some funds to be set aside for our chapter to give to a deserving graduating senior every year in the spring to further their education.   Coni Ross was a registered nurse, rancher, and especially up until she died in 2020 raised angora goats, then cashmere goats.  She won multiple national and regional awards for innovations in and contribution to the mohair, cashmere and boer goat industries.  She was a well-respected ABGA judge and a pioneer and a legend in the goat industry. Her depth of health and medicinal knowledge rivaled that of most veterinarians and some doctors.  While Coni received countless awards over decades she will be remembered for her giving spirit, her love for her children, grandchildren and her compassion for people and animals.  

Therefore, we are offering this scholarship in her name to any Blanco County senior in high school, private or public, that desires to go into Nursing, Health Sciences or Agriculture Science in college or other higher learning institute.

Blanco County 4H and FFA Youth Council Scholarship

Criteria: 

To be eligible to apply for the Blanco County 4-H and FFA Youth Council Scholarship & additional scholarship, the applicant must:

  1. Be an active member, in good standing, of a Blanco Co. 4-H program and/or FFA program.
  2. Be a current year graduating senior.
  3. Score at least an 850 on the SAT or an 18 on the ACT (if required)
  4. Have participated in the Blanco County Youth Show.
  5. Have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

2024 Youth Scholarships/Capital Farm Credit

Criteria: 

  •  Funds shall be used to attend an accredited vocational or technical school, college or university. Student must maintain full time status
  • Applicants must be high school seniors, graduating within the current school year. 
  • Applicant must demonstrate that they have a tentative educational plan and goals, related to fields in agriculture or natural resources (may include Ag Communications, Ag Economics/Business, Ag Education, Wildlife or Ranch Management, etc.)
  • Applicants must include the following documents for consideration: a. Completed application b. 2 letters of recommendation c. Copy of High School Transcript

  • Must plan to attend a college or university located in the state of Texas. (This scholarship does not make awards for vocational or technical certificate or license.)

The 2023-2024 Blanco PTO Student Scholarship

Criteria: 

*Applicant must be a high school senior at Blanco High School and be eligible for graduation.

  1. Parent/Guardian(s) must be current members of Blanco PTO as of December 31, 2023.
  2. The scholarship must be used for the purpose of study at an accredited college, university, or vocational school.
  3. Upon evidence of enrollment, the scholarship funds will be paid to the school where the recipient is enrolled.
  4. Selection of scholarship recipient(s) will be determined by a committee appointed by the Blanco PTO Executive Board.

Criteria: 

  • Applicant must be currently enrolled in (or have been accepted into) a construction related program at a college or university in Texas or must be graduating from a Texas high school and must have at least one term remaining to a degree in a construction related field.
  •  Applicant must desire a career in a construction related field (architecture, construction, or engineering).
  •  Applicant must be enrolled full-time.
  • Applicant must have a current cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher to be considered for awards.
