BHS Counselors Corner

Welcome to the BHS Counseling Corner

At Blanco High School, we are committed to supporting the whole student—academically, socially, and emotionally. As your school counselor, I want to ensure students and families know about the many resources available to help every student succeed both in and beyond high school.

Here are just a few of the areas where we can provide support:

  • Graduation Requirements – Guidance to keep students on track for graduation with the credits and endorsements they need.

  • College & Career Planning – Help with career exploration, college applications, and technical or military pathways.

  • FAFSA & Financial Aid Support – Assistance completing the FAFSA and understanding financial aid options.

  • Scholarships – Regular updates on local, state, and national scholarship opportunities.

  • Academic & Personal Counseling – Support for managing stress, study skills, time management, and more.

  • Suicide Awareness & Mental Health Resources – We take student well-being seriously and have resources available for students in crisis or in need of someone to talk to.

  • After-School Support – Information on tutoring, extracurricular opportunities, and community programs.

Whether you’re preparing for the next step after high school or just need someone to talk to, my door is always open. Please don’t hesitate to reach out—we're here to help you thrive.
